AREA is an active lender in the U.S. and Europe, providing comprehensive financing solutions through a range of debt products. AREA's dedicated lending program began with its first Mezzanine Fund in 2004 and has continued with its successor fund, the AREA Real Estate Finance Corporation, ("AREFIN"), in 2005. AREA's lending program includes the origination and acquisition of existing debt and capital markets instruments including whole loans, mezzanine loans and certain tranches of CMBS.
